Two stone built cottages with splendid views over the Loire valley and only 150 metres from the river itself. In the year 2000 the Loire was the first river to be classified by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The cottages are set around a courtyard at the edge of a conservation village at the centre of the Maine et Loire regional park.

The area is famous for its chateaux and there is much to do and see apart from sampling the local wines. The quiet winding roads are ideal for cycling and there are pleasant walks by the river and in the surrounding countryside. The nearest town is Gennes which has a selection of shops and is well served with leisure facilities ( including an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts). There is much of historical interest in the area including several chateaux, a roman amphitheatre, troglodyte dwellings and stone age remains (dolmens etc.,). There is good shopping in the elegant towns of Saumur and Angers.

The cottages can be rented individually or as a pair.
